"Come on, Cold! Hachimine, the man who conquered the waterfall, takes on the ultra-low temperature ice sauna "cryotherapy".

Hachimine, curious about the ultra-low temperature ice sauna "cryotherapy"!

I'm used to the cold...after all, I do waterfall work! --With that in mind, I decided to try cryotherapy, which is performed in the ultra-low temperature range of -120 to 196 degrees Celsius. Instead of breaking out in a cold sweat, I was ready to take on the challenge of being subjected to a serious baptism of cold air. Cryotherapy is an "ice sauna," which is very stimulating for those who are sensitive to cold, as the cooled air promotes blood circulation throughout the body, relieves fatigue, and improves metabolism.

Experienced waterfall performer, unfazed by the cold.

When I headed to the salon, which was opened in August 2024 by Mika Saito, whom I met during my days at an exclusive club in Ginza, I was welcomed gracefully by the staff. After completing a medical interview and blood pressure measurement, we were quickly dressed in our special gowns and boots and ready to go. When the cabin door opened, there was a white plume of -196°C cold air. Hachimine, who has experience in waterfall training, is not surprised by a little bit of cold, but this ultra-low temperature made him feel enthusiastic.

Cold Air Challenge in Cabin! A cold experience that makes you feel hot

Here is a video of Hachimine. (It's hilarious!)

Once inside the cabin, the cold air surrounding the cabin made me feel tightened up....

Hachimine, as expected, is a little beaten up.

If you stop moving for two minutes, you will feel even colder, so you will feel the cold air all over your body as you try to stomp your feet and turn your body. This is a performance to stimulate the body! When you get out of the cabin, your whole body is warm and fluffy as if the cold was a lie. The stimulation of the cold air seemed to stimulate the blood flow at once, and it was truly a fresh experience.

Finish with pressurized boots to further promote blood circulation!

After leaving the cabin, a massage in pressurized boots. This is to further stimulate blood flow stimulated by the cooling and to regulate lymphatic flow. The body feels refreshed and a sense of being "in shape" slowly washes over you. It is indeed amazing to feel so refreshed in such a short time.

You'll be surprised at how different it is from a sauna! Refresh without sweating!

In a sauna, you sweat profusely, but in cryotherapy, you do not. This means that there is no need to shower and no need to worry about losing your makeup. You can go home refreshed. And, in just two to three minutes, you can expect the same effect as several sets of sauna. It is good that it is easy to incorporate into your busy daily life.

Hachimine's impressions after the experience

This cryotherapy warms up a cold body in a short time and gives an invigorating feeling. The next day, I felt an unusual lightness of fatigue. It is a great way to refresh yourself, as it certainly gives you a sense of "getting in shape".Furthermore, since cryotherapy also affects the autonomic nervous system, it is also expected to improve the quality of sleep and be useful for menopausal disorders. It is said to have various other effects, so if you are interested, it is definitely worth experiencing this pleasant world of cool air once!

Hachimine-kun, next time I expect you to accompany me to the ice sauna.
