Beer Hall Lion Ginza 7-chome was established on April 8, 1934 as the headquarters building of Dainippon Breweries, Ltd.
Since then, it has boasted a history of more than 90 years and is the oldest beer hall in Japan.

Historic buildings that survived the war

During World War II, many beer halls were lost in air raids, but this one miraculously survived the war.
After the war, it was temporarily used as a beer hall exclusively for the Occupation Forces, but reopened to the public in 1952.
